自拍时，你最喜欢用什么表情？小编经常看到有人用duck face。duck face可千万别理解为“鸭子脸”。实际上是这样的：

说起来鸭鸭这么可爱，和duck相关的短语可真不少，如果只看字面意思，很容易误解，那我们一起来学习一下吧。

1、duck soup

duck soup直译为“鸭汤”，可以表示“小菜一碟，不需要付出什么努力，容易处理的人或事”。

Fixing the car will be duck soup for anyone with the right tools.

有合适的工具，修这个车对任何人来说都是简单的事情。

2、dead duck

dead duck直译为“死的鸭子”，其实是“必然完蛋的人，注定失败的人”的意思。

They knew their plans were a dead duck.

他们知道他们的计划注定会失败。

Due to the lack of market research, the project was a dead duck right from the start.

由于缺乏市场调查，这个项目从一开始就注定失败。

3、lame duck

lame duck字面意思是“瘸鸭子”，可以指“处于劣势，需要帮助的人”。

在政治环境中，也可用来指“没有多少实权的人”，比如在任期即将结束时的人员。

The government is headed by a president who looks like a lame duck.

4、like a duck to water

字面意思是“像去水边的鸭子”，即“非常迅速和自然，仿佛是与生俱来地去做某事”，通俗来讲，就是“天生的料”。这句话也常常带有一种享受的感觉。

Sarah took to her bike like a duck to water. She was born to ride.

萨拉骑车非常在行，她是天生的骑手。

5、get/have your ducks in a row

字面意思是“让鸭子都排成一排”。鸭子们外出散步都是排成一排走路，因而这一短语表示“做好准备，变得井井有条”。

We need to get our ducks in a row to ensure that there are no problems at home while we’re gone on our trip.

我们需要做好准备，以确保我们旅行时家里没事。
